The world can’t get enough of North Country speed-grass virtuosos Trampled by Turtles, and neither can we. After a September East Coast tour with Southeast Engine, These United States join with TBT in mid-October for a spin through Memphis, Nashville, Asheville, Carrboro, Atlanta, and Louisville. We’ll finish out the tour with TBT in Madison and Milwaukee, with additional dates of our own in Bloomington, Minneapolis, and Chicago. This fall, These United States’ band members are officially saying goodbye to their first home, meeting place, and musical influence, Washington D.C., as they scatter to new cities across the country to continue making music together. They’ll celebrate the move with a bash on Sept. 10th featuring old friends from the Federal Reserve collective, many tearful singalongs, and a celebration of the place that has given them so much inspiration.

Their second home, since you asked, is the road; so they’ll be hitting that with their old friends Southeast Engine

(Misra Records) for a ton of dates in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Southeast Engine’s home state of Ohio, then all the way back to Canada, where TUS will have recently played their hearts out at Hillside Music Fest 7/22.

These United States’ new album, ‘What Lasts,’ has garnered acclaim from NPR’s World Cafe, the New York Times, Blogotheque, and more. You, too, can say nice things about ‘What Lasts’; just ask us for a copy!
